Welcome to Morwenstow Mutts Dog Walking Services! My name is Paula Walter. I have always had a huge love and passion for dogs and spend much of my free time walking my own small pack of dogs all around Devon & Cornwall. I currently own a Rottweiler Luna, Springer Spaniel Willow, an adolescent Dalmatian Ivy & sibling Springer Spaniel puppies Ruby & Duke with my fiancé, Kyle. I have always wanted to start up my own dog walking business. I love the idea of having a job that my dogs can also be a part of and doing what i truly love. It isn’t a chore, it’s a huge passion & hobby of mine even in the worst of the winter weather! Before i owned my current dogs, i would regularly walk friends and families dogs for the love of it. I can sometimes be out for up to 3 hours with my partner Kyle and our Springer, Willow. Our Rottweiler Luna has some health & joint issues that restrict her and our puppies are too young currently as we need to protect those growing bones. Owning a pack with varying needs, i am knowledgable on the different abilities and preferences a dog has and can cater walks accordingly.
What To Expect
I will be offering dog walks in variying locations around Morwenstow and surrounding areas. You can feel safe in the knowledge that i am fully insured, DBS checked and canine first aid trained (valid until Sep 2024). I have a van fitted with 'Transk9' crash tested crates in the crumple zone and crates behind the drivers seats so you know your dog will be travelling safely. Only dogs from the same household will be crated together once permission has been given. House keys will be kept in a lockable key safe and all personal information given will be fully confidential. All dogs will be lightly hosed down when required after a walk and towelled off. (If you own a Equafleece/Dog Robe or similar, please make it available to me on pick up or drop off!). I carry a rucksack on all walks containing treats, long line, spare leads, water and my canine first aid kit.

GROUP WALKS
For those dogs that thrive around and are socially appropriate with other dogs, they will throughly enjoy a group walk setting! Whether that is with other clients dogs or one or two of my own dogs, I can assure they will enjoy playing, running and interacting with each other!
1-1 SOLO WALKS
Luna is reactive to dogs and is people selective. Having owned a reactive dog for the last 6 years, it has taught me an incredible amount about dog body language and tactics to keep her calm and not stressed in some environments where we may pass other dogs. For this reason, I feel i have the appropriate knowledge and more importantly, the experience to handle reactive dogs safely. Owning Luna has made me completely sympathise with the stresses and anxiety that comes from walking/owning a reactive dog. This is why I will cater for these 'naughty but nice' dogs with their extra needs! You can feel safe knowing i have years of experience with these types of behaviours and know quieter walks and tactics to keep your dog under threshold when out walking.
This can also to apply to dogs that are just socially ‘inappropriate’. You may have a dog that jumps all over other dogs, is just too boisterous, possibly mounts other dogs and just general behaviours that wouldn’t suit a group walk setting.
DOG SITTING & PET TAXI
I also offer a pet sitting service. If you are out for the day, i can pop into your home to feed, walk if requested and play with your dog to break up their day alone. This can be for either 1 or 2 hours and will incure a small milage fee dependant on your location. I offer a pet taxi also for trips to the vets, kennels, groomers etc also for a small milage fee.
